LCA Optimization

We strive to be at the forefront of innovation and solutions in the construction industry, both in terms of technology, material selection and construction techniques. Our focus is to deliver the best solutions on the market that ensure strong economics, high quality and low LCA figures. We work purposefully to minimize the overall climate footprint of construction, while offering solutions that meet the future requirements for sustainable construction.

LCA as a design tool

Heartwood uses LCA and real-time 3D illustrations as design tools to ensure that customers are fully involved from day one and can make well-informed decisions about design, price and sustainability.

- we ensure that your project meets the strictest requirements
  • Reduce your project's COâ‚‚ footprint to comply with stricter climate requirements

  • Fast and efficient process – optimize your project with minimal effort

  • Ensure seamless approval and strong ESG documentation

6.35 kg
CO₂e/m²/year
4.96 kg
CO₂e/m²/year

Example: Average reduction: 6.35 kg CO₂/m² → 4.96 kg CO₂/m²

LCA requires the right material choices

Heartwood builds with wood – specifically cross-laminated timber (CLT) – as a natural, renewable and carbon-storing material that helps to significantly reduce the construction industry’s climate footprint. By eliminating concrete and steel, we create healthy, durable structures with a significantly lower environmental impact. CLT also allows for the integration of advanced digital algorithms and technologies, optimizing the design and construction processes and maximizing precision and efficiency.

As new, safe and approved materials are introduced to the market, we ensure they are implemented on the Heartwood platform. This includes biogenic and recycled materials, which further reduce LCA figures and promote more circular and climate-friendly building practices.

Heartwood's building system is dynamic and constantly evolving. We are continuously working to improve and optimize our platform so that it can aggregate and simplify building processes and handle the extensive data documentation needed for the construction of the future. Our goal is to create a platform that not only supports sustainability and efficiency, but also ensures transparency and quality throughout the construction process.
